Tour from Rockport to Port Aransas
52 miles round trip
Turn Right out of hotel onto SH 35 to Mesquite Street, which is the first street on the left.
On Mesquite St. and continue straight 4 blocks to the T at N. Fulton Beach Rd.
Turn Right onto N. Fulton Beach Rd. Cross Palmetto Ave. and continue to Fulton Ave.
Go half a mile. Cross Fulton Ave. and continue on N. Fulton Beach Rd.
Turn Right from parking lot onto Fulton Ave. Fulton Ave will become 3rd St. After a sweeping LEFT turn take the 1st RIGHT turn to continue on Fulton Ave. and continue to the T at N Fulton Beach Rd. The Lighthouse Inn at the shoreline will be in front of you.
Turn Right onto N. Fulton Beach Rd to join the Hampton guests.
Exiting Rockport
Continue on Fulton Beach Rd. until it becomes Broadway. Continue on Broadway across the channel - bear right - and continue about a mile to Maple St. Look for Yarbarita’s on the corner.
Turn Right onto Maple St. Cross SH 35 at the light and continue straight to Omohundro St.
Turn left onto Omohundro St. to E. Linden St.
Turn Right onto E. Linden St. to N. Magnolia.
Turn Left at E. Magnolia to continue on E. Linden St. Continue on E. Linden St. to N Live Oak St.
Turn left onto N. Live Oak St. to E. Laurel St.
Turn Right onto E. Laurel St. to N. Doughty St.
Turn Left Onto N. Doughty towards W. Market St/Bus SH 35
Turn Right onto W. Market St. towards Bus SH 35. As you approach SH 35 get in the Left lane. Cross under SH 35 and Market St. becomes FM 1069.
Turn Left onto Griffith Drive (4th street on the left) for a mini-parade past the local elementary school. Once past the school, do a U turn onto the other side of the center divided street and return to Market/1069. Turn left.
Turn Left onto Market Street / FM 1069, continue to SH 188.
Cross SH 188 and continue around 5 miles on FM 1069 to SH 35
Getting through Aransas Pass
Cross under SH 35 then Bus SH 35 and continue approximately 0.2 miles to CR 1894 / Demory St. / RR 128. This small street is at the end of the WalMart parking lot at the Dollar Tree sign, and across from Spanky’s Liquor.
Turn left onto CR 1894/Demory St./RR128 to Ave A. About 0.9 miles
Turn Left onto S. Ave A then immediate first right on Palm to 13th St.
On 13th St, take immediate first LEFT onto W. Goodnight Ave. Continue on W. Goodnight Ave to Harrison Blvd./SH 361. Go 0.7 miles
Cross Harrison Blvd/ SH 361 to continue on W. Goodnight Ave./361
USE EXTREME CAUTION CROSSING HARRISON BLVD./361. THIS CAN BE A CONFUSING INTERSECTION.
Continue on Goodnight Ave/SH 361 to Commercial/ Bus 35.
Cross Commercial/Bus 35 and continue straight on Redfish Causeway for 6 miles to Ferry landing.
Take the ferry across to Port Aransas.
Refer to the maps and information provided in the tour book to spend the day in Port Aransas and return at your leisure. Be sure to visit Winton’s Candy Store, 601 S. Alister Street, which has a TT truck inside loaded with candy.
Cross on the Ferry back to Redfish Causeway and return to Aransas Pass.
Getting through Aransas Pass
6.2 Go about 6 miles on Redfish Causeway.
Cross S. Commercial/SH Bus 35. Stay in the left center lane
After crossing S. Commercial and continue on FM 361/
E. Goodnight Ave. Continue straight to Harrison Blvd/361.
Cross Harrison Blvd/SH 361.

TRAFFIC ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MEDIAN TO
CONTINUE STRAIGHT ON GOODNIGHT AVE. to S. 13th Street
Turn right onto S. 13th St. then first immediate LEFT onto W. Palm St. to S. Ave. A.
Turn Left onto S. Ave A then immediate first RIGHT onto Demory Lane/CR 1894
to FM 1069.
Turn Right onto FM 1069 Spanky’s Liquor will be in front of you. Continue on
FM 1069 straight and cross under Bus SH 35 and continue about 5 miles towards SH 188.
Cross SH 188 and continue on FM 1069. Less than a miles after crossing 188,
the next turn onto FM 1781, watch for Hardly Dangerous Automotive on
the LEFT side of the road. It has a distinctive skull on the business sign. Around this point FM 1069 begins a wide RIGHT turn and becomes W. Market. The first LEFT turn after the curve will be FM 1781.
Getting back to the hotels
Turn left FM 1781 and watch for Rockport RV after just over a mile. It has a small sign at the
street with a big metal building off the road behind it. FM 1781 will
begin a wide LEFT curve and then you need to make a sharp RIGHT
turn.
Turn Right at a flashing stop sign with a business named
Hoots across the street to the RIGHT. You are still on FM 1781. Go about half a mile to a T junction with sea green apartments on the other side of the junction
Turn Left to stay on FM 1781 and continue to FM 3036/SH 35.
Turn Right onto FM 3036/Broadway towards Bus SH 35. Go about 1.5 miles to the T junction with Bus 35
For the Hampton Inn, Turn LEFT
For the Fairfield Inn, Turn RIGHT
